1. Introduction

EQ.app Community Inc. ("EQ.app," "we," "us," or "our") operates the EQ.app platform for governed digital workers in the staffing and recruiting industry. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use our platform, website, preview, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

Please read this policy before providing personal information or connecting a business system to the Service.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you request preview access, create an account, or use a workspace, we collect information such as your name, work email, role, company, company website or LinkedIn profile, and other details you choose to provide.

2.2 Connected System Data

When you connect a business system, such as email, calendar, file storage, an applicant tracking system, CRM, payroll system, or another tool your organization uses, we receive the credentials, connection metadata, and data needed to carry out the work you authorize. Access is limited to the permissions you approve.

Connection credentials are protected and used only to maintain the connection and perform authorized actions. You can disconnect a connected system from your workspace settings.

2.3 Documents and Uploads

When you upload documents (such as resumes, CVs, or other files), we process them to complete the work you request, which may include extracting or organizing structured information. Customer content is used to provide the Service and is not used by EQ.app to train general-purpose models.

2.4 Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages viewed, features used, timestamps, browser type, and device information.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
  • Enable workers to complete the tasks and workflows you authorize
  • Process and analyze documents you upload
  • Generate reports, build specifications, and worker recommendations
  • Send transactional emails and notifications related to your account
  • Monitor and improve the performance and reliability of the Service
  • Respond to your requests and provide customer support
  • Comply with legal obligations

4. How We Disclose Information

We disclose information only as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the Service, or when required by law. The categories of recipients may include:

  • Cloud hosting, storage, authentication, and security service providers
  • Task-processing and automated intelligence service providers
  • Communication, support, and transactional email service providers
  • Analytics and performance service providers
  • Business systems you choose to connect and direct workers to use
  • Professional advisers, regulators, law enforcement, or transaction counterparties when legally necessary

Service providers process information under contractual restrictions and only for the services they provide to us. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Customer content sent for automated task processing is used to fulfill the requested work and not to train general-purpose models.

Current service-provider and subprocessor details are available to customers and prospective customers on request by contacting us.

5. Google API Services: Limited Use Disclosure

EQ.app's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically:

  • We only access Google user data that is necessary to provide the features you have explicitly enabled.
  • We do not use Google user data for advertising purposes.
  • We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide the Service, as required by law, or with your explicit consent.
  • We do not use Google user data to train AI or machine learning models.
  • Humans may access Google user data only for security purposes, to investigate abuse, to comply with legal requirements, or with your consent.

6. Data Storage and Security

We take the security of your data seriously and implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect it:

  • Access controls and workspace boundaries that limit who can access customer information
  • Encryption in transit and protected storage for connection credentials
  • Role-scoped permissions and review controls for worker actions
  • Operational logging, monitoring, and regular reviews of security controls

While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete your personal data and integration connections within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes.

Processed document data (such as parsed resume fields) is retained as part of your workspace data and is deleted when you delete your workspace or request data removal.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data.
  • Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Restriction or objection: Ask us to restrict or stop certain processing where applicable.
  • Withdrawal of consent: Revoke consent where consent is the legal basis.
  • Disconnect connected systems: Revoke access to a connected system from your workspace settings.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@eq.community.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and authentication state. We use privacy-conscious analytics to understand product usage and improve the Service. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or trackers.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. When required by law, we will provide additional notice of material changes.
